Societal Risk
In this session, we investigate the physical infrastructure underpinning frontier AI, including the massive energy and data center demands, and the resultant environmental impact. In addition, we're covering what's known as compute governance — i.e., the institutional arrangements, regulatory instruments, and technical mechanisms that structure access to, and oversight of, computational resources in the context of AI.
